Emerging Economies
We are one of the few Dutch boutiques with a dedicated focus on Emerging Markets : investing, dissemination of relevant information on Emerging Markets, Organising round tables on the topic and frequently publishing our views for the interest audience. The Mahler EM Fund vision offers interesting investment opportunities and expertise to both private and corporate investors. Mahler considers transparency for investors of paramount importance. We therefore do everything possible to keep our clients well informed of major developments in the market and within the funds. The purpose of our approach is to achieve high returns while monitoring the volatility of the portfolio.
We have proved this when we launched our Fundshare Mahler India Investment Fund in 2011 and 2013 under AFM licence (fund registration no. NL0010556577) to cater the retail market:
the fund was successful realising more than 100% in a very short time span of three years. In 2015 we have stopped with our focus on the retail market and the fund was dissolved in cooperation with the Dutch provider DeGiro in the Fundshare umbrella. Still proud of the excellent performance of the fund in 2015 with 68,5% and mentioned as the best performer in the Morning Star database:

We have continued our interest in the Indian and Asian market, which is still growing steadily and sometimes surprisingly relative to its EM peer group or even to the EU region as a whole. At the same time we have decided to diversify too in assessing opportunities in the Global Emerging Markets space without neglecting our interest in the Indian growth story. Emerging Markets Funds invest in the best performing emerging market equities that meet our investment criteria. The funds aim at an expected average annual return of at least 10% during their tenure. Mahler Funds is exempted from regulatory supervision with reference to the Financial Supervision Act (Wet financieel toezicht-Wft) because of its focus and fund raising criteria, although we will follow the guidelines to make it transparent and comparable with the peer group.
